Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar passed away in October 2021. Now, almost a year later, his wife Ashwini has revealed the trailer of his latest venture, Gandhada Gudic. The trailer of two minutes and forty seconds offers a mesmerizing view of Karnataka. It captures the beauty of marine life, tribes, forests, streams, lesser-known islands, and a hidden mountain with the late actor.

Ashwini asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to watch the trailer and share his thoughts on it. Hours after the trailer’s release, the Prime Minister of India grabbed his Twitter handle and wrote a note for the late actor and his latest film. “Appu lives in the hearts of millions of people around the world,” Modi wrote.
He added: “He was brilliantly personified, full of energy and blessed with unparalleled talent. #GandhadaGudi is a tribute to Mother Nature, the natural beauty of Karnataka and the preservation of the environment. My best wishes for this venture.”

Before appealing, Ashwini had shared a throwback photo of Puneeth with PM. She captioned the photo: “Appu is not among us, but his life and work motivates and empowers us to embrace the culture of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. G GMovie celebrates cinema and also holds a mirror to the rich heritage, culture, nature and diversity of our country”.
The synopsis of the film read: “GG: Gandhadagudi, Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar’s Last Adieu, is a real-life, multilingual feature film produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and directed by Amoghavarsha. dr. Shedding all his stardom, Puneeth Rajkumar embarks on a journey with Amoghavarsha to discover new stories and unravel secrets in an all-new immersive cinematic experience.
It also read: “#GGMovie is an epic musical celebration of our blessed land, precious culture and incredible stories on an unprecedented scale. Complete with songs and the beauty of nature, it’s a family entertainer.” The film is expected to hit theaters on October 28 in Kannada, Hindi and English.
