You: the conspiracy
For this season Joe reinvents himself and takes the alias of Professor Jonathan Moore. He even grows a beard to aid in his disguise. Although season 3 ends with Joe in Paris, the setting for season 4 will in fact be London, where Joe, aka Jonathan, works and lives. We can also tell from the teaser trailer that despite taking on a new identity, Joe will soon be up to his old tricks, wearing his black baseball cap and chasing love.
The trailer also references the return of Mariene in Season 4, meaning Joe manages to track her down. Little else is known about the plot, but of course we can speculate based on the information from the trailer and Joe’s behavior pattern in the previous seasons. According to the trailer, Joe is announcing, “Gone are the days of unrequited love and longing,” which could mean a few things, either that he’s found love again and is sated for the time being, or he’s found new love in academia. world and gave up his pursuit of romantic endeavors. We’re betting it means the former, as he manages to track down Marienne.
Joe, of course, alludes to keeping his “usual extracurricular activities” purely professional, but exactly what that means for a stalker and serial killer, we’ll have to find out. But there is no doubt that he will soon be using his usual behavior of obsession and stalking. Most likely with Marienne as the subject of his fixation, but possibly someone else if another woman catches his eye. It’s also not too far-fetched to assume Season 4 will bring us more murder and death, but the who, what, how, when, where and why are yet to be seen.
