Jill Chin on her ‘optimistic’ third week

After a tumultuous first few days at the beach, Jill Chin is back on the market in week 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Speaking with TheWrap ahead of Monday night’s episode, Chin said he felt “super hopeful” to enter the new week with the women giving roses. At last week’s rose ceremony, Chin accepted a rose from Romeo Alexander, who had her eye when the two hit the beach. But he quickly closed the door after Alexander began to explore his relationship with other women.

When Alexander gives her the rose she makes it clear that it was meant as an apology and that she should use it to find out the other connections on the beach, should she be sure they will not rekindle their flame. Can.

“After attending the first Rose ceremony, I was fully looking forward to going home. I didn’t expect a rose from Romeo. He could have chosen someone else who might have had a romantic relationship with her. It didn’t look like anyone was going, so I guess that’s why he wanted to give me a rose, just to smooth things out,” Chin said. “I finally accepted his rose because mine. Meaning, he even told me himself, during his short speech, that I could use the rose to explore other connections and that’s what I did. I chatted with Romeo afterward, but it was much like, ‘You need to find other connections because it’s done.'”

This is Chin’s first season on “Bachelor in Paradise,” and the experience presented new challenges compared to his time as a contestant on “The Bachelor.” While vying for Clayton Eckard’s heart, she was one of over 30 women involved in that love story. Now he is in the limelight.

“I guess I was not used to focusing on my love story. So he was really, really different and everyone was on their own journey. There’s a lot going on in heaven. It’s a really tough environment, and it’s extremely high feeling,” she said. “So I think trying to navigate all those relationships at once versus just one relationship with The Bachelor is extremely difficult, and there are so many other feelings that you need to worry about.”

With women giving roses this week, men will struggle to stay in heaven for longer, which means Chin has the opportunity to exhale after a tense situation with Alexander.

“I was expecting people to be a little more aggressive and you can see the boys are really nice to us and bring us breakfast,” she said of the upcoming week. “I was like, ‘Oh, that’s great.'”

While we’ll have to wait and see how everything turns out, Chin assured TheWrap that he has “no regrets” about how “Bachelor in Paradise” ultimately went for him.

“Of course, when I’m looking back, I’m like, ‘Oh my god, that was so bad. I shouldn’t have done that.’ Or like, ‘I look a little crazy,'” she said. “But I know my feelings were valid at the moment, and I think people just have to understand that you’re really seeing very small snippets of high emotion, highly intense situations. I’ve learned a lot from this process. And the result is what it is. I think I’m happy with it.”
