Disha Vakani aka Dayaben from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah may have left the show 5 years ago but she is still associated with the show as the fans can’t imagine TMKOC without her. Lately there has been a strong buzz about the actress suffering from throat cancer because of the voice modulation she did on the show. The news that Diha got this cancer made her fans sad and concerned about her health. While now the truth behind the news is out, Doha Vakani’s brother Mayur Vakani, who also plays the role of her real-life brother in the show, has ruined the news and called it baseless.
In an interaction with TOI, he was questioned about Disha suffering from this cancer, which he said are all now due to such rumours. That said, he assured them that Disha is healthy and hearty and none of this is true. Mayur, even instead, Disha’s lovers never believe such rumors. Disha Vakani who was the heart of the show retired in 2017 as she got married, then her son and a baby and now her full focus is her family. While her fans understand her priorities but miss her on screen and eagerly wait for her to return.
Disha Vakani rose to fame with her portrayal as Dayaben, she became the most loved actress in every household. Though there has been a strong buzz that she may be returning to the service but that is not happening anytime soon as Disha is very focused on her family life and doesn’t even think about going back. While Asit Modi had also claimed in his interactions that he cannot force Disha to come back, but he is well aware that TRP is hitting hard due to her absence.
