Emily Blunt leads Epic Western in English trailer

If “Emily Blunt in a Western Revenge action-thriller” isn’t enough for you, Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for “The English” to entice further.

The six-episode limited series is an epic chase western from writer/director Hugo Blick (“The Honorable Woman”) and features an aristocratic Englishman, Lady Cornelia Locke (Emily Blunt), and a pony ex-cavalry scout, Eli Whip (Chaske). follows. Spencer), who came together in 1890 to traverse a violent landscape built on dreams and blood in Central America. The series is making its world premiere at the London Film Festival as a series special presentation on 15 October, before all episodes premiering on Prime Video on 11 November in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Nordics. It will debut on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in the UK on 10 November.

The cast also includes Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones and Ciaran Hinds.

English is produced by Drama Republic Limited, a Mediavan company, and Eight Rocks Limited. The series is created by Hugo Blick – who also serves as an executive producer, director and writer. Emily Blunt also serves as an executive producer with Greg Brenneman (“Peaky Blinders”) for the drama Republic. Colin Ratton (“Killing Eve”) serves as a producer on English.
