The biggest controversy of Bigg Boss 16 was the presence of Sajid Khan. Netizens and celebrities like Sona Mohapatra, Urfi Javed and some others have panned the creators. DCW chairman Swati Maliwal even wrote a letter to the I&B ministry saying it was disgraceful to have him on a much-watched show as Bigg Boss 16. In the past, Mandana Karimi, Aahana Kumra, Saloni Chopra, Sherlyn Chopra and others have alleged serious sex crimes committed by some of Sajid Khan. There were many rumors that the channel has decided to remove him from the show. On the other hand, it was said that Salman Khan, a close friend of Farah Khan, wanted Sajid to continue with Bigg Boss 16.
The Times Of India had reported that Sajid Khan would have to leave the show soon. It seems this has put Salman Khan in a delicate place. But now it looks like Sajid Khan is staying on the show. He has not been nominated this week. Sources have told Koimoi that his impeachment will only happen if he gets nominated in the eliminations or breaks any of the important house rules. It seems that all the rumors have been spread as a personal vendetta against the filmmaker. This is what a source told the portal. In fact, Shehnaaz Gill also got a lot of flak for supporting Sajid Khan in the premiere episode.
The Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association had banned him from directing films in 2018. This happened after several women complained that he was making sexual advances towards them, knowing that he was in a position of power and authority. The decision was revoked in December 2019. It appears that no legal complaint has been filed meaning Sajid Khan has the right to resume work and earn.
