What’s hot?

Rishab Shetty is the heart and soul of the film. He gets a meaty role and he rocked it with his presence on the massive screen. The actor played the role with authenticity. His performance in the last fifteen minutes turns out to be a feast for every film lover. Kishore is fantastic in his role. Achyuth Kumar and Sapthami Gowda are impressive.

In terms of technical aspects, Rishab Shetty needs a special mention for his brilliant writing. Especially the way in which he connected nature, god and people is impressive. The cinematography steals the show. The editing and dialogues are appropriate. The production values are top notch. The songs and background score are decent.

Kantara is a rooted story and the director has managed to tell it with good commercial elements. The first 15 minutes and the last 15 minutes are the main highlights of the film. The first fifteen minutes of the film establish the world of Kantara. We are immediately engaged. The comic portions are also very good.

What not?

After an intense first half hour, the film later deviates somewhat with its stereotypical commercial sequences. Even the interval point is not very gripping. If the director had stuck to artistic narration with just a few commercial elements, the film would have been more engaging. The love trail between the hero and the heroine may not appeal to the Telugu audience.

BL verdict: All in all, this movie is worth watching. Do not miss it!

Ratings: 3.5/5
