After taking a three-year sabbatical from directing, reports say AR Murugadoss plans to return to filmmaking. It looks like the director is eager to advance the franchise of one of his biggest blockbusters Ghajinic. From what we hear, he plans to make a Tamil sequel to the original starring Suriya. While there’s no confirmation from either side, it’ll be interesting to see what the sequel to this action thriller has in store for the public.
AR Murugadoss returns to directing with Suriya starrer Ghajini 2?
Readers will be aware that Ghajinic was also remade in Hindi of the same name with Aamir Khan in the lead role along with Asin reprising her role as Kalpana in both versions. The role of Jiah Khan was played by Nayanthara in the Tamil version released in 2005 Ghajini 2 becomes reality, it will be the third project of Suriya and AR Murugadoss after Ghajinic (1) and 07:00 o’clock which was released in 2011. While it is said that Ghajinic sequel will also have Suriya in the lead role, it also remains to be seen if Ghajini 2 will it be a new story or will it be the story of mr. Sanjay Ramaswamy continue. However, AR Murugadoss has not yet revealed any details about his next directing.
For the uninitiated, Ghajinic portrayed the story of a cell phone owner who meets a happy but struggling actress with a heart of gold. When he falls in love with her and they decide to plan their future, a dangerous situation leads to serious injuries and he also becomes a patient with short-term amnesia. A fun but hardworking medical student befriends him to understand more about his situation.
