Bachelor Nation’s favorite bromance is going back to the beach on Episode 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” That’s right, Aaron Clancy and James Bonsall are taking another shot at love.
Fans will remember that, although the two men were first cast as contestants on Katie Thurston’s season of “The Bachelorette,” they hit the sands for the first time last season, and the two were forming some romantic connections when He eventually decided to leave Heaven. Instead of continuing toward a potential engagement.
“I thought why not give it a shot?” Clancy told TheWrap about her return for Season 8. “Things turn out a little differently and you’re going to see a different side of me that you probably didn’t see before.”
The season 8 promo has not disappointed in terms of teasing times to come. One clip shows an emotional Clancy speaking with Genevieve Parisi, with whom she has previously sparked romance rumors and teased that he may have gone to heaven to pursue her.
“They love to use that clip,” he laughed when asked about it. Although he remained silent about what really happened between them on the beach, he said: “I’m just going to say that real feelings were definitely involved.”
Since this isn’t his first rodeo, Clancy said he approached Heaven with more reassurance this season because, he learned, anything can happen on the beach.
“I know the feeling of the unexpected surprise they can throw at you and how to react to them,” he said. “So that really helps me to be more rational, less emotional, less reactionary, and see things in a better way.”
Clancy and Bonsall will both reach heaven during Tuesday night’s episode, possibly following the first rose ceremony of the season. “Bachelor in Paradise” airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
