Abbott Elementary Leads 2022 Critics Choice Awards TV Nominations

Quinta Brunson’s “Abbott Elementary” led all television shows in nominations for the Critics Choice Awards, which were announced Tuesday morning. The series earned six nominations in all six comedy categories, with a nomination for Best Comedy Series and individual acting nominations for Brunson, Chris Perfetti, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph.

“Better Call Saul” led all drama series with five nominations, while “Gaslit,” “The Good Fight” and “Reservation Dogs” each received four.

The nominees for Best Comedy Series were “Abbott Elementary,” “Barry,” “The Bear,” “Better Things,” “Ghosts,” “Hacks,” “Reboot” and “Reservation Dogs,” while nominations for Best Drama Series were also for “Andor”, “Bad Sisters”, “Better Call Saul”, “The Crown”, “Euphoria”, “The Good Fight”, “The House of the Dragon”, “Separation” and “Yellowstone” .

FX, HBO and Netflix tied with 15 nominations each, followed by Hulu with 14 and Apple TV+ and Paramount+ with 10.

Film voting for the Critics Choice Awards is currently underway, with ballots due by the end of the week and nominations scheduled to be announced on December 14.

The Critics Choice Awards in the Film and Television categories will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
