Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular TV shows in the country. It has been entertaining the masses for over a decade and fans have been quite loyal to the show. However, lately, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the news for the replacement of the popular cast of the TV show. Well, as you all know, a few of them are planning to move on from TMKOC and thus the producer, Asit Kumarr Modic, is actively looking for replacements. Looks like the creators have their replacement for Shailesh Lodha. Check out who it is below:
Will Shailesh Lodha be replaced by THIS actor?
For years, Shailesh Lodha played the role of Taarak Mehta, Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal’s closest confidante and assistant in the popular sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And fans are attached to Shailesh as Taarak too. But the actor felt that his number of days was not being used and that he did not want to stay home for ten days in a row. In addition, there are reports of the exclusivity contract circulating, stating that the actor may not take on any other project, it seems. Well, Asit Kumarr Modi had previously suggested getting a replacement. And now the name of Jaineeraj Rajpurohit has emerged as Shailesh Lodha’s replacement as Taarak Mehta. Yes, you read that right.
Asit Kumarr Modi and Shailesh Lodha’s tiff
It just so happened that a few days ago Asit Kumarr Modi’s video of what appeared to be a jibe at the exit of Shailesh Lodha went viral. He said he can do nothing if a person feels that he/she has done enough and that his/her heart is satisfied with all that has been done. He added that the show should eventually go ahead and the creators will welcome old or new Taarak Mehta, depending on the situation. Later, Shailesh Lodha is said to have joked about Modi by sharing a post about how people change, just like a chameleon.
Who is Jaineeraj Rajjpurohit?
While there is no official confirmation that Jaineeraj Rajpurohit will replace Shailesh Lodha as Taarak Mehta in Taara Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the ETimes report states that he is being considered to play Taarak. Jaineeraj Rajpurohit was part of Naagin, Balika Vadhu, Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Miley Jab Hum Tum to name a few. He was also seen in Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer OMG: Oh My God.
Meanwhile, there were earlier reports that Kajal Pisal replaced Disha Vakani as Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. A few months ago, Sunayana Fozdar had replaced Neha Mehta as Anjali Mehta on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And a few weeks ago, creators found Nattu Kaka in Kiran Bhatt, previously played by Ghanashyam Nayak.
