Although it’s been months since Will Smith’s infamous ‘Slapgate’ incident, the actor is often in the news for it. After being banned from the Academy Awards, the now popular American show Saturday Night Live is also gearing up to ban Will Smith for the same reasons.

Yes! You read it right. The Hollywood star is reportedly not welcome back on SNL. According to an Ace Show Biz report, the American sketch series will permanently ban the actor after the Oscars blow. Quoting a source, the site stated: “Smith will never be invited to ‘SNL’ again after what he did to Chris. The show is a temple comedian and no one wants him anymore.”
The report added that the show’s producers are also concerned that if Smith returns, other well-known celebrities may refuse to appear in the future. For the inexperienced, Chris Rock is a former staple of the show, starring in it from 1990 to 1993.
The King Richard star slammed Chris at the 2022 Academy Awards in March for his joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head. He then yelled at the comedian, who presented on stage, twice to “keep my wife’s name out of your damn mouth!” After the incident, Smith posted an apology video, which can be seen saying: “It’s all vague. I’ll say to you Chris, I apologize. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you want to talk .”
