Actor Eman Esfandi has officially joined the upcoming Disney+ live-action series as fan favorite Ezra Bridger. The series also stars Rosario Dawson as former Jedi Ahsoka Tano and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Mandalorian Sabine Wren.
Ahsoka: Eman Esfandi Joins Live-Action Star Wars Series As Ezra Bridger
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dawson stars in the Disney+ series as titular Jedi Ahsoka Tano, who appears in season two of The Mandalorian and also appeared in Boba Fett’s book.
Other stars include Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno and Australian thespian Natasha Liu Bordizzo. Hayden Christensen reprises his role as Anakin Skywalker and Ray Stevenson plays a mysterious villain.
No plot details are known, according to the report, but the setup involves Tano traveling from one end of the galaxy to the other in search of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a former commander in the Empire. Star Wars Rebels ended with both Thrawn and Ezra disappearing into space.
Or Eman Esfandi and the rest of the Ahsoka cast will hit the big D23 panel on Saturday but has yet to be seen, but Lucasfilm is expected to show several Star Wars projects at the conference.
On the work front, Eman Esfandi will also appear in the upcoming gay military drama The inspection, which is currently being screened at the Toronto Film Festival. He has previously had roles in King Richard with Will Smith and Hostage 911.
