The creators of Ponniyin Selvan leave no stone unturned to promote director Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project. Recently, the cast of Ponniyin Selvan including Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi and Sobhita Dhulipala appeared in The Kapil Sharma Show. However, the absence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan raised several eyebrows.
When the photos and videos of the cast of Ponniyin Selvan posing with Kapil Sharma surfaced on the internet, fans began to speculate as to why Aishwarya missed the show. Many people were of the opinion that since The Kapil Sharma Show is being produced by Salman Khan, Aishwarya has apparently decided not to go because of her bitter past with the Dabangg Khan.
So the Ponniyin Selvan team went to the Kapil Sharma show? Feels a little weird. None of the cast is comfortable in Hindi (Aishwarya didn’t go). The show is so tonally different from the movie. I don’t think they want to miss any chance to promote the film.

However, it has been learned that Aishwarya was reportedly preoccupied with her previous commitments to promote her film elsewhere. AR Rahman missed it too. It should be noted that the makers of the film have promoted their films in different cities in order to get a wider reach. So it is reasonable for Aishwarya not to appear in the comedy show due to her busy promotion schedule. Previously, Aishwarya promoted Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Jazbaa in the show.

Meanwhile, it was the first time Trisha and Vikram ever appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show and the top comedian made sure they had a good time promoting their film. Chiyaan Vikram was engaged in a hilarious conversation with Kapil Sharma and said the comedy was written in his destiny. He revealed his desire to be on the show once during his school days.
