A few days ago, Brahmastra actress and mother-to-be Alia Bhatt announced that she would receive the Time100 Impact Award. On Sunday, Alia was present at the National Gallery in Singapore to receive the said honor. Upon receiving the award, Alia delivered a heartfelt thank you covering her dreams of her early days, her career, her success, and even her pregnancy.
Alia Bhatt Reveals How She ‘Wanted To Take Over The World’ At The Time100 Impact Awards
Speaking to the audience as she expressed gratitude for receiving the Time100 Impact Award, she added: “Thank you, TIME, for this honor. Honestly, to be crowned here tonight, surrounded by some of the best people in the world, feels wonderfully overwhelming. I feel a little bit of pressure, pressure to say something intelligent and be good and really make an impact. I’ve thought a lot about what it means to make an impact and I wondered if I was doing it when I started out with the intention of making an impact. And the answer is: yes.”
Speaking of her early days, and when she wanted to take over the world, Alia continued: “I mean, I think 10 years ago, when I started working, I was just thinking about how I would take over the world one day. How anyone, anywhere would know who I am and how hardworking and talented and intelligent and smart and impeccable I am I wanted to be perfect and I wanted the world to know it Ten years later I receive one of the most prestigious awards at this global platform. And I have no idea how I got here or what I did to deserve this. But what I do know is: if it somehow falls to me to lead by example, be a role model I want to do it in the most human and flawed way possible, because after all these years I’ve realized: it’s the flaws that make you. Perfection is boring.”
At work, Alia will soon see Bhatt make her Hollywood debut in film Heart of stoneafter which the actress will be seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani next to Ranveer Singh.
