Part 2 of one of the most successful web series starring Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Anupriya Goenka, Amey Wagh and others is coming to Jio Cinema today i.e. June 1, 2023. Finally, the mystery behind Shubh Joshi would be revealed. Prior to the release, we got in touch with Amey Wagh who plays the role of Rasool Shaikh. It’s one of the most intriguing characters and those who know know why!
We won’t give spoilers. But here’s what to expect from Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti, Amey Wagh’s Asur 2, as revealed by Amey Wagh. Here are excerpts from the interview.
Did you expect such a phenomenal response to the Asur 2 trailer?
I’m pleasantly surprised because since the first season came out, of course the first season worked wonders, but people were just talking about having to wait so long for the second season. And when we released the first teaser of the second season, the response was overwhelming. It’s like people waited so long and now you can see the sparkle in their eyes. You can see the excitement in everyone’s reactions. Even people who hadn’t seen it when the first teaser came out have now also watched it. Because it took about 2.5 to 3 years for the second season to come out. So the audience has kind of multiplied. We now have a larger fan base. That makes it even more exciting now.
What can fans expect from Asur 2?
I think the first season was more about seeding. In the first season, many things were planted. You will see a lot of mystery unfold in the second season. In the second season you will see many questions answered. People had a lot of theories, a lot of questions after watching the first season. You will get answers to many questions. And I think you have an even better spin in the second season. Because Asur people remember the show because it was extremely unpredictable and surprising to them. So it’s double the first season. The element of surprise is the first season double.
Is Asur 3 also in the pipeline?
Look, when we talk about cliffhangers, they don’t come with a warning. So I can’t really speak to that. You had a cliffhanger and this time I don’t even know if you have any armor to hold on to. But hey, we might have another cliffhanger. Even I haven’t seen the second season yet.
