From 1091 Pictures, the new movie To the moon has just arrived on digital platforms and to give you a taste, we have an exclusive clip to premiere. The film had a special screening in Brooklyn on September 19, followed by its digital release on September 20 in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The film is about a couple whose lives are forever changed with the arrival of a mystery man on what should have been a private getaway, and you can see how that kicks off in our clip below.
To the moon serves as the directorial debut of the actor-turned-director Scott Friend. In addition to writing and directing the film, Friend also stars alongside Madeleine Morgenweck as the couple at the center of the story. The two also appeared together in Kevin Tran’s critically acclaimed indie mystery thriller The dark end of the streetwhile Friend is also notably featured in Dan Sallitt’s Gotham Independent Film award-winning feature film Fourteen. Will Brill, known for his roles on the hit TV shows, also stars as Friend’s character’s brother to round out the intimate cast of three. the OA and The wonderful Mrs. Maisel as well as the indie horror movie My mother’s eyes.
