Ana De Armas appeared in a number of sketches during her Saturday night live Hosting debut including as a contestant on a game show The dome and a rap recording session.
The actress who stars in Apple’s spy feature spooky and the upcoming John Wick spin-off ballerinaShe already wants to return to 30 Rock. At the end of the episode, she begged Lorne Michaels to “please take me back”.
This was confirmed during the episode of De Armas SNL Cast member Pete Davidson would return to the presenter with Lil Uzi Vert as a musical guest on May 6 – almost a year after he left the NBC show.
However, the glass onion star may have hosted the season finale if a writers strike occurs after the WGA contract with the AMPTP expires on May 1st.
The WGA began voting on its strike authorization this week, with the results being released next week. While the move doesn’t necessarily mean the writers will go on strike – the guild still has a few weeks of negotiations with the studios – it does SNL would be one of the first shows to be affected by such industrial action.
Along with the nightly talk shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon And Late Night with Seth Meyers, SNL would likely finish season 3 episodes sooner than expected.
The last time there was a potential writers’ strike was in 2017, Fallon co-hosted an episode with musical guest Harry Styles on April 15 featuring the show’s first live broadcast from Coast to Coast.
If the writers and studios agree on a deal or renew their contract, there will likely be three more episodes of the season.
