Andy Cohen comedy ‘Most Talkative’ in the Works at NBC

An Andy Cohen-based coming-of-age comedy is in development at NBC. “Most Talkative” is working with Blumhouse Television by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group.

“Most Talkative” is inspired by a New York Times best-selling book written by the Emmy-winning host, producer, and author. The story follows a fictional 13-year-old Cohen who grew up in St. Louis, Mo., in the 1980s. The tagline goes like this: “He’s gay, loves the Cardinals, his bar mitzvah tutor is a stoner, and his soap opera-fueled imagination makes him both the life of the party and a source of endless drama. ‘Most Talkative'” There’s a series about what doesn’t fit in a single box and knowing how to build your own.

Writers Gordon Greenberg and Michael Weiner will executive produce with Cohen. The Emmy winner will direct and serve as the EP with Todd Holland, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gould and Chris Dickey executive producing under Blumhouse Television.

“I am tickled to use my childhood as a jumping off point for an entertaining show and to work with an incredible team including my friend Jason Blum and UTV,” Cohen said in a statement.

Cohen is known for being a pop culture staple in reality show business, with a distinct flair for drama. Holland is a three-time Emmy winner for directing “Malcolm in the Middle” (2000, 2001) and “The Larry Sanders Show” (1998). He recently completed the Nickelodeon/Paramount+ musical “Monster High,” premiering this fall.
