The show is all about the empowerment of women and there are a lot of women in the show too. Recently, Anupamaa saw a big twist on the show when: Toshu (Aashish Mehrotra) had an extramarital affair while Kinjal (Nidhi Shah), his wife was pregnant. When Anupamaa heard the same, she showed her own son to everyone and supported Kinjal at her decision. Kinjal also planned to divorce Paritosh. Entertainment News: Alpana Buch Not Happy With Divorce Trail

Alpana Buch, who plays Baa the matriarch in Rupali Ganguly-Sudhanshu Pandey and Gaurav Khanna starrer TV show Anupamaa, was asked about her feelings on the running song. Alpana didn’t mince words by saying she was unhappy. From Leela’s point of view, Alpana Buch said that all the women talking about women’s empowerment are in some way the reason why families fall apart. She thinks that if every house has such wives, there will be no more families left. Alpana Buch believes that Leela has only one goal and that is to keep the family together. She adds that while Leela agrees that Toshu (Aashish Mehrotra) made a mistake, she understands that he had to right the same. Leela senses that Paritosh’s realization goes unnoticed. Alpana Buch has been trolled online for her character of Baa, who seems to be very orthodox in her mindset according to fans. However, Alpana defended Leela’s position by saying that one should indeed consider the degree of the mistake made, but if someone asks for another chance, he/she should get it. On the other hand, Alpana also called Baa selfish. However, she reasoned that Baa is selfish, not for her own benefit, but for the sake of her family. However, she does agree that blaming Anupamaa all the time is wrong.
