Zee TV’s popular fiction program Meet presents the story of Meet Hooda (Ashi Singh), who does not believe in societal norms and specific gender roles when it comes to work and responsibilities. Audiences love the chemistry between lead actors, Ashi Singh and Shagun Pandey. Recently, the character of Ashi once again surprised viewers. In one of the scenes, Meet jumps on a rolling roller to save her sister Manushi. But not many people know that the stunt was performed by Ashi herself.
Ashi Singh talks about the order of the rolling away in Meet; says: “I love doing stunts myself”
Ashi Singh seems to have taken inspiration from her on-screen character Meet Hooda as she took on the challenge of hopping on a moving waltz without any armor or any support. Speaking of the experience, Ashi said, “I love performing my own stunts as Meet Hooda on the show. When I was first briefed about the scene where I jumped on a waltz, I was even a little skeptical. about how I was going to do it, but I went with the flow and we had the perfect shot in just a few takes.”
“The best part was that I was able to put the scene exactly how my director envisioned it and it was my decision to do it without armor. I rehearsed the scene a few times to get used to the new vehicle. The waltz was moving at a decent pace and it was difficult to jump on. Since it is a heavy vehicle, I also had to put a lot of force on the pedal to stop it. That said, it was an exciting challenge for me to overcome and I hope I get more opportunities to surprise the audience with something new,” she concluded.
From learning Haryanvi for the show to learning how to fix a car, trying out new looks and performing daring stunts, Ashi Singh experimented a lot for her role as Meet Hooda. As for the show Meet, viewers will witness another twist with Barfi Devi (Asmita Sharma) asking Meet Ahlawat to marry her daughter.
