In a candid conversation with us, Manoj Bajpayee spoke about the Gangs of Wasseypur and its cult status. He clearly said the third installment is off, but he’s happy to be a part of a cult film like this. The actor was quoted as saying, “Gangs of Wasseypur is not happening. Anurag Kashyap told me in many words. That is something people have to come to terms with. a cult. I am so lucky to be part of 3-5 cult movies in my career. Gangs of Wasseypur is one of them. People still pour so much love on Sardar Khan and they make memes all the time. I feel overwhelmed but on at the same time, some of the memes are quite embarrassing.”
When asked what he thinks about Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s journey as an actor, he said he deserves every bit of success that comes his way. Manoj Bajpayee said, “Look, I am very proud of Nawaz’s journey. He is a very unique actor. He is someone who has traveled from very far. And he deserves everything from it. The only person I admire from a distance , is me. I always cheer and clap. Everything he does, everything he has today, everything he achieves. He deserves it all.”
Manoj Bajpayee will next appear in Zee 5’s film Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai. He will play a lawyer in the movie. The trailer of the film was recently released to critical acclaim. Fans look forward to this gripping courtroom drama.
