Bigg Boss 16’s contestant Ankit Gupta, who was eliminated from Salman Khan’s reality show, has been roped in to star in the upcoming TV show Junooniyat starring Gautam Vig. If we are to believe the reports, Banni Chow Home Delivery actress Neha Rana will play the role of a protagonist in the love triangle. Neha has previously been a part of Ishk Par Zor Nahin, Choti Sarrdaarni and more TV shows.
In an interview with ETimes TV, a source close to the upcoming show informed them that actress Neha will play the role of Ilahi, an aspiring singer and her father is a classical singer. Ilahi wants to pursue a singing career and is quite passionate about it. Junooniyat’s story will change shortly after Ilahi crosses paths with Ankit and Gautam.
At work, Neha started her TV career with Ishk Par Zor Nahin and later appeared in Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s show Choti Sarrdaarni. Neha reportedly parted ways with Banni Chow Home Delivery as she felt her trail had run its course and there was nothing left to discover. Neha reportedly took a break from work and started auditioning for lead roles.
Ankit Gupta was ejected a week ago, while Gautam was ejected earlier. Several fans of Ankit called his eviction unfair and also criticized the creators for targeting him. They even pressed the makers to get Ankit back on the show, but now it seems that the actor has already started shooting for his new show and will not appear in Bigg Boss 16 again. Vikkas Manaktala was evicted last night.
