Best TV Shows of 2022: AFI Awards – Full List Revealed

The American Film Institute’s annual list of the best TV shows includes a comedy about an underfunded elementary school and a drama about an exotic resort town where murder is seen as a convenience.

Released Friday, AFI’s full list of the 10 Best TV Shows of 2022 is as follows: ABC’s Abbott Elementary SchoolHulu’s the bearCMA You better call SaulHBO Max hacksby Netflix monthAppleTV+ PachinkoFX Reservation dogsAppleTV+ BreakupHBO someone somewhere and HBO The White Lotus.

“AFI Awards spotlight excellence in storytelling and the collaborators who bring these stories to screen,” said AFI President and CEO Bob Gazzale. “This year, more than ever, celebrating the community of artists who make those dreams come true is especially meaningful – as they have lifted their spirits through the toughest times and proven the power of this great art form.”

On the movie side, the following 10 movies made AFI’s list: Avatar: The Way of the Water, Elvis, All Over, All At Once, The Fabelmans, No, She Said, Tár, Top Gun: Maverick, The Woman King and women who talk.

The AFI Awards luncheon will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
