South Korean women’s group BLACKPINK is over a week away from the release of their highly anticipated second full-length album BORN PINK. When the album arrives on September 16, the group will embark on their first world tour in October 2022. Ahead of the album’s release, the group unveiled the title poster of the lead single, ‘Shut down’.

The announcement along with the poster’s release was made on September 7, midnight KST.

The pre-release single ‘Pink Poison’ was unveiled on August 16. The group performed the song at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28, 2022. The song debuted at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts with the second largest worldwide weekly streaming total since its introduction in September 2020. This makes BLACKPINK the first female group in history and ‘Pink Poison’ the first K-pop song released in 2022 to top the Global 200.

The world tour kicks off with two dates in Seoul, before heading to North America, the UK and Europe before the end of 2022. The shows will then continue around the world until mid-2023.
