It turns out to be a rather routine story at the box office with movies that just don’t work at all. Drops on Monday are no longer surprising as telltale signs show up in the first weekend itself with no growth and worse, declines happen on Sunday. That has now become a trend and while bigger movies like shamshera, Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan were not spared either, and then it would be no different for liger (Hindi).

This is what happened on Monday when the film came from Rs. 4.50 crores on Friday to Rs. 1.50 crores*. As it stands, Monday’s collections were okay, just from the perspective of the majority of 2023 movies that didn’t even succeed. However, from the absolute numbers perspective, it was just a decent total. However, a further fall from there would always be heartbreaking and this is what happened for Vijay Devarakonda and Ananya Pandey movie. With collections standing at Rs. 15.25 crores* now, the film will end up as a weeklong affair.

In the meantime, Karthikeya 2 (Hindi) will actually be a four week show despite the fact that they are releasing next door Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhanit is enjoy a good stay in theaters and will continue till the arrival of Brahmastra. It turned out to be a lottery for those who invested in the film as the collections are currently Rs. 24.08 crores*. Given the lack of competition, Monday could have been slightly better as the collections were fair at Rs. 0.55 crores*, not great. However, the situation the exhibition and distribution circle is currently in will take whatever good comes its way.
