The 13th season of the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol, has drawn its curtains with judges Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani and host Aditya Narayan to welcome new talent from across the country. But the singing show is already facing boycott calls from fans after Rito Raba from Arunachal Pradesh suffered an unexpected elimination.
Indian Idol 13 recently completed its audition rounds and shared the names of the contestants who made it into the top 15. Contestants such as Vineet Singh, Sanchari Sengupta, Rishi Singh, Bidipta Chakraborty, Shivam Singh, Sonakshi Kar, Navdeep Wadali, Senjuti Das, Chirag Kotwal, Kavya Limaye, Anushka Patra, Rupam Bharnarhia, Pritam Roy, Debosmita Roy and Shagun Pathak were selected.
When Rito Raba was left out of the top 15 entrants, annoyed netizens expressed their anger at the trending ‘Boycott Indian Idol’ on Twitter. Many people said they were unhappy with the verdict and questioned the credibility of the show and the judges in finding new talent. They also demanded the creators bring Rito Raba back to the show.

While Pawandeep Rajan emerged as the winner last season, the makers have announced the first four entrants: Rishi Singh from Ayodhya, Anushka Patra from Kolkata, Bidipta Chakraborty from Kolkata and Shivam Singh from Vadodara.
