Brahmastra is rock solid on its fifth day, as the film has gathered in the range of €12.75 to Rs. 13.75 crores on Tuesday taking the five-day total collection to Rs. 150.50 crores. There is a drop of about 15 percent from Monday and it would have been better if the film had scored a drop of less than 10 percent, but still these are hefty numbers for a working day.

The fifth day collection of Brahmastra is slightly lower than the first day collection of this year’s second biggest opener, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The movie Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is heading for an opening week of about Rs. 170 crores and will definitely enter the Rs. 200 crore club by the end of the second weekend.

From the Rs. 150 million dollars, Brahmastra has collected almost Rs. 17.50 crores of the South Dubbed version, with Rs. 132.50 crores come in from the Hindi original. It will be the second highest-grossing Ranbir Kapoor film after Sanjuc with ease and it remains to be seen if the film can enter the Rs. 250 crore long term club in Hindi.

Brahmastra does it like a Hollywood movie in India and therefore the jump in collections on Saturday and Sunday will determine the longevity of the film. If it manages to double on Saturday and then show another 25 percent jump on Sunday, a 250 crore finish is well within reach. The weekday trend should have been better with a lower drop rate, but nonetheless, this can still be considered a decent result given that the ground reports surrounding the film are also mixed.
