The much-discussed and long-awaited release Brahmastra hit screens last week on Friday. Directed by Ayan Mukherji and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy, the film made headlines leading up to its release. Touted as one of the biggest lenders of the year, Brahmastra came with tremendous hopes and expectations. The film did the same, opening on a thunderous tone, helped by the number of wide screens and the hype surrounding it.
In fact, at the box office in North America Brahmastra has done quite well. With one of the most comprehensive releases for a Bollywood film in the recent past, the Ayan Mukherji director managed to bring in a massive $4.36 million [Rs. 34.60 cr.] only during the opening weekend. Dubbed in multiple languages and with different formats from IMAX 3D to normal 2D, Brahmastra attracted the public’s interest about demographics.
Currently, Brahmastra continues to attract audiences and is expected to see continued growth in business. Enjoying a two-week run at the box office with little to no competitive predictions claiming Brahmastra will certainly also publish good collection figures in the first week.
