During his lifetime, Vivek has Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files had netted Rs. 252.90 crores at the box office, making it the highest Bollywood grosser to date of 2022. In fact, the film is only surpassed by the dubbed Hindi versions of RRR and KGF: Chapter 2. Both films are Southern products and caught the attention of the public. Now the way Brahmastra currently doing it will at least find itself at the top of the Bollywood releases, which at Rs. 250 crores set to be crossed comfortably.

This is sure to happen now because of the amazing jump that the Ayan Mukherji directed movie saw on Saturday, which is worth Rs. 14.50 crores come in. This is still better than the number of Kartik Aryan’s on the first day Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs. 14.11 crores) and that movie was also a huge blockbuster. So with Brahmastra doing more than that on the 9th day pretty much means that the film has been well accepted by the public and everywhere. In fact with its lifetime of Rs. 192.50 crores already, the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer is also past the lifetime of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (Rs. 185 crores) and even matched Sooryavanshi (Rs. 196 crores).

Naturally, Brahmastra is also the most expensive of the lot and therefore the kind of numbers it generates is an absolute minimum expectation in any case. Yet the times are such that survival is key with only respectable numbers expected and no one thinks too much about delivering a hit or a blockbuster. In such times when this Karan Johar movie proves to be a good hit, you can expect Dharma Productions, Star Studios and other producers associated with Brahmastra be happy indeed.
