The Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukherji has been in the works for a while. However, the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy, along with special appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, finally hit the screen. Reportedly one of the biggest releases of recent times, Brahmastra witnessed unseen reservations for a non-vacation release.

Also in the overseas markets Brahmastra, which has been released on 3894 screens, has witnessed an incredible trend in these markets. In Australia, the film has even been released on the Hoyts, Event and Village chains, along with the arthouse chain Palace Cinemas, making this another first for an Indian film. At the box office in North America, the film is approaching 2 million. USD mark at the end of day 1.
