In a new feature video with Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Featherington), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) and Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Coughlan breaks down the first script and announces that Episode 1 will be called “Out of the Shadows”. Is. ,You can watch the video above.,
The new season will follow the love story of wallflower Penelope and her forever crush, Colin Bridgerton.
As Newton and Jesse photograph each other for Netflix’s TODAY event, Jesse asks his onscreen brother why his character doesn’t realize that “Penelope is his true love match.”
“Because they met when they were so young in the tiniest way,” Newton opines. “It’s such a lovely story about the way they met when I was reading the book. Jesse also addressed – painting a very fictionalized portrait of Newton – what bothered her character most at the end of Season 2 when she learned that her best friend Penelope was actually Lady Whistledown.
“Lie,” said Jesse. “And I think it’s probably a little insulting because she’ll now look back on the time she was on these crazy searches and the feud with the Queen and Penelope saw it all.”
But, before the clip ends, Coughlan pops up and reads Lady Whistledown’s next column—yes, from Season 3—where she sets up new weather Thinks about Marriage Mart and starts wondering who will shine in the budding bunch.
“This year the crop seems to be really bright, unfortunately, not every young lady can attract the light,” Coughlan read.
