Brie Larson joins Fast X Co-Stars in campaign for female-led spin-off

There have been rumors and rumors about the Fast and furious franchise branches off with a female-led spin-off film, and Brian Larson join the campaign to make it happen. Larson, a huge fan of the film series, had publicly advocated Vin Diesel for a role in Fast X that would eventually come to fruition with her casting. Now, as she tells Entertainment tonightshe hopes the next step for her will be to join some of her new co-stars Fast X for the possible spin-off.


“I don’t think we would be mad at anything that involves ladies,” Larson said. “It was very clear that we would like to spend more time together.”

“There’s no one better,” added Michelle Rodriguez, who’s been part of the franchise since the original movie in 2001. “I’m all for it! Bring it!”

Jordana Brewster, who also joined the Fast and furious series in the original film and returns in Fast Xadded: “This is what I would like to see. I would like to see Charlize [Theron]me, Natalie [Emmanuel], Michelle, Brie. I’d love to see us all get a kick in the ass together!”

Theron was also asked by ET about the spin-off following these comments. She credited Rodriguez with going all out to get her cast in the franchise and is pleased to see she’s pushed for the potential female-focused spin-off as well.

“[She] was really the back guard [my casting]and has been for all the females that have joined this cast, so I’m really thankful to her for putting it out there and saying we should do this,” Theron said.

Maybe Vin Diesel and Co. finishing the main series before concentrating on one of the other spin-offs. Fast X was intended to be the penultimate installment of the main movie series with one more film planned to wrap things up. However, that is now being plagued Fast X could in fact be the first of a trilogy of movies, so maybe the gas in the tank isn’t running out just yet.

At least the future of the Fast and furious movies don’t necessarily all have to chart for another spin-off to happen. The series has already had one spin-off Hobbs & Shawfocusing on Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, which was released in 2019. and want to see the other ladies of the franchise.

“I would like to see a woman FastLangley said last fall. Vin too [Diesel]. We have so many amazing and wonderful female characters in our franchise and now there is the new addition of Brie Larson to add to the incredible roster. I’d like to see us do a woman Fast.”

Fast X will burst into cinemas on May 19, 2023.
