South Korean musician Jin, of the group BTS, is going to release his new single ‘The Astronaut’. The song was co-written by him and Coldplay. The singer-songwriter teased his upcoming single album at the Busan concert held on Saturday, October 15 for the bid for World Expo 2030. After announcing their mandatory military enlistment, it was confirmed that Jin will release a new solo single. ‘The Astronaut’ on October 28.

The new single was previously announced via the worldwide fandom life platform Weverse. As the’ Astronaut’ expresses Jin’s fondness for his fans, ARMY, the song is intended as a gift to the fans. The song’s logo trailer and promotion card were also made public through BTS’s official social platforms. The logo trailer shows a journey of an astronaut who takes a spacewalk through a disturbing space and reaches a shiny place.
According to the promotion card, Jin will reveal ‘The Astronaut’ concept photos between October 24 and 26 and music video teaser on October 27. It was reported on Tuesday that the latest single from BTS’ Jin is a gift from Coldplay. BTS previously collaborated with the British band for the single ‘My universe’ for 2021.
This is Jin’s first solo project since BTS announced in June 2022 that they were ceasing their group activities for the time being to focus on their solo efforts. But the group reunited on Saturday night at the Busan concert, bringing thousands of fans together for the free show. On Monday, October 17, the group’s bureau announced that all seven members will join the military for their mandatory service.
Jin (Kim Seok-jin) is a South Korean singer, songwriter and member of BTS. Jin’s appealing voice and clear tone enhance the emotions conveyed through music.
