Auditions were held on Zoom Calls and many actors from around the country auditioned for the roles. Speaking of Rajshri Deshpande, Sanjeev said that she underwent three rounds of improvisational auditions before being selected for the role. He said, “Rajshri was the one who we thought was a promising actor and we believed she would live up to it, which she actually has. Talking about the casting of Abhay Deol, Sanjeev Maurya said that a little known actor was needed as the show needed that kind of support. He then said, “Abhay is the kind of actor who really makes you believe. When you pick up a movie from the past, he really made you believe that character. He didn’t play Abhay Deol anywhere. That’s what I feel. So then I went to Prashant Nair and I said, “I feel Abhy is the right one because Abhay is very neutral. Look sensibly, he’s not much of a hero type. And we needed someone with a neutral look. And I said he’s a great artist and I’m sure he can make us believe as a South Indian character.” Also Read – Aamir Khan sees a BIG MISTAKE in Lagaan; these are times when stars exposed blunders in their big hits

He also talked about how it works with Abhay Deol. He called the star “the director’s actor.” He was quoted as saying “I have always heard good things about Abhay. He has depth, he invests and comes up with suggestions, but he is always the director’s actor. That’s what the directors told me. As we wanted, followed he put down the instructions.and gave us that.yeah he worked really hard when we told him it’s supposed to be like this and then he invested a lot into it.he prepared mentally and internally and then came on set to I was not in direct contact with him, but the directors were very happy with him.”
