Charlie Cox hopes She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany will return as Jennifer Walters in Daredevil: Born Again.
Maybe we’ll see more of Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters sharing the screen after Daredevil’s arrival in She-Hulk. As revealed in promotional material for She-Hulk, Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock for a special appearance after his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It has also been announced that Cox will co-star with Vincent D’Onofrio in a new Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Againwith the two reprising the roles they previously played in the daredevil series.
Cox attended Disney’s D23 Expo, where he detailed Daredevil’s status in the MCU in an interview with Additional. The actor says he hasn’t seen a script for the upcoming series yet, so he really doesn’t know what exactly will happen to Matt Murdock and what other characters in the MCU can join him. When given his choice to name a Marvel character, he would love to come in for a special appearance at Daredevil: Born AgainCox was quick to mention She-Hulk‘s Tatiana Maslany. Cox explains that the two had a lot of fun on the She-Hulk set and it also makes sense for the story.
“I really want Tatiana to come back and make a (special appearance)… I loved working with her, and the chemistry of the characters was so much fun. I’m really excited to see that episode… You know, we’re both lawyers. There’s a lot for us to love about those two. So I’d love to see her on the show.”
Daredevil: Born Again is a New Beginning
Charlie Cox also said he sees this series as a new beginning. While he and Vincent D’Onofrio may return as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, this show is not planned as a fourth season of the series. daredevil series previously on Netflix. Cox suspects it will likely have a different tone with a focus on entirely new storylines. Since the show is slightly different from the Netflix series, it all feels so new to Cox, who describes how emotionally this all has to be relived with the Daredevil character.
“It’s very emotional to get this second life when you’ve already developed such a love for the character and the people, and now we’re starting this whole new journey and it’s the beginning again. I feel so grateful and excited “And I’m all nervous again. It’s like this wild journey. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.”
Daredevil: Born Again is expected to premiere on Disney+ in early 2024.
