The past few months have been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa, who are in a quandary over their marriage. After going back and forth over their decision to divorce, Charu Asopa claims in a recent report that she has decided to divorce Rajeev, who is also the brother of former beauty queen and actress Sushmita Sen. Charu, who is herself a television actress, also revealed in her recent statement that he made it difficult for her to work with anyone in the industry.
Charu Asopa wants a divorce from Rajeev Sen; says “I’ve already wasted three and a half years”
In a recent interview with ETimes, Charu Asopa not only talked about how he would warn her co-stars to stay away from her, but also accused him of cheating on her. She was quoted in these reports saying: “Rajeev is temperamental, abused me once or twice and even raised his hand. He would suspect me of cheating on him. When I was shooting for Akbar Ka Bal Birbal, he sent messages to my co-actors to stay away from me. It became hard for me to work. I feel like he was cheating on me, but I can’t prove that.”
The TV actress also claimed that she will kickstart the divorce proceedings. She continued, adding: “I will start divorce proceedings and hope he agrees without causing more trouble. As before, I have not asked for alimony. I don’t want to drag this marriage anymore. I have had three and a half years wasted.”
Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen tied the knot at a small court wedding in June 2019. After announcing their divorce in June 2022, the couple decided to give their marriage another chance in August. Last month, however, reports of their troubled marriage resurfaced after Charu claimed her husband had blocked her on social media. The couple has an 11-month-old daughter named Ziana.
