Jesse Spencer is set to make a special comeback as Matt Casey in an upcoming movie Chicago fire Consequence.
Spencer’s appearance will help fans reassure series star Taylor Kinney, who has taken a leave of absence due to a personal matter.
Spencer’s return is scheduled for an April 5 air date, but Kinney doesn’t have a return date yet. Spencer originally stayed in Chicago Fires 200th episode, airing date October 2021. He spent 10 years as a full-time actor.
Why Spencer’s Matt Casey is returning on the show hasn’t been revealed. The character is set to go to Oregon to take care of his late best friend Andy Darden’s sons. He also attempted a long-distance relationship with love interest Sylvie Brett (Kara Kilmer).
The Casey character appeared in the season 10 finale for Severide and Stella’s wedding, but ended things with Brett in the next season opener.
