Cowboys Player Ghost on Fox Sports Analyst Gig

If anyone has seen Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, the folks at Fox Sports 1 are looking for him.

Parsons and Fox Sports announced last month that he would be joining “Undisputed” hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharp on Tuesday morning to talk football. FS1 set up a professional TV rig at Parsons’ Dallas-area house, and everyone was ready for their big debut this week.

Everyone except Parsons, it seems.

“All day yesterday, we couldn’t reach Micah,” Bayless said on the Tuesday morning show. “Then, as we arrived at dusk, we could not reach any of his people.”

Last Sunday night, Dallas was crushed in a nationally televised loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which Bayless said “led us to believe, ‘Okay, maybe he was crushed by an opening night loss. ‘Which is highly possible. We still have high hopes that he will join us next Tuesday.’

Parsons did not publicly acknowledge his absence on Tuesday, however. He tweeted the complaint How the Madden Gaming franchise hone their pass-defending skills.

Whatever the case, there are some cameras and other equipment in the Parsons house that, if not used soon, will have to be accounted for.

“We had the equipment installed at Micah’s home in the Dallas area,” Bayless said, “and when we made the big, grand announcement he immediately tweeted how excited he was to join us.”

Sharp said he’d prefer a heads-up, but looked optimistic that Parsons would come around.

“I hope he joins us over the course of the season after a few weeks of winning, even if it’s not every week,” he said. “But I don’t understand why, after FS1 put the equipment in their house, that radio went silent. Just say, ‘Look, at this point I just want to focus on football. I’m sorry I told you guys Moved on, but football is the most important thing right now and I won’t be able to do it now.
