Daredevil star Charlie Cox feels there’s a place for the Marvel Vigilante in Deadpool 3

Marvel star Charlie Cox would love to see Daredevil share the screen with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Deadpool3. Speaking at the German Comic-Con Winter Edition event (via Deadpool updates), Cox even hinted that the upcoming Daredevil Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Againmay have a whiff deadpool-like tone.

“I think because of the tone of our show, I think there’s a place for Daredevil to appear in Deadpool. It would be really cool.”

Sure, Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, and Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, have shared adventures in the pages of Marvel Comics before, but seeing them together on the big screen is yet to happen. Though it may seem like they’re… jerking a bit, with what Daredevils dark tone and from Deadpool Breaking comic fourth wall, Charlie Cox feels there is definitely a way to bring them together. And considering that he has already shown his funnier side She-Hulk: lawyervibrating with Deadpool should be much easier now.

After much fan campaigning and outcry on the internet, Charlie Cox is now truly part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after making a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and a longer appearance as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, on the Disney+ show She-Hulk: lawyer. Cox will now lead a Disney+ Daredevil series, Daredevil: Born Againand while not much has been revealed about the direction of the series, a recent rumor has claimed that the series will be based on the comic series, Mayor Fisher, in which Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) runs for mayor. Something The Man Without Fear probably has a hard time with.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to land on Disney+ in Spring 2024 as part of Phase Five of the MCU.

Deadpool3 meanwhile, he’s expected to follow Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman as Logan, aka Wolverine, as the pair go on a road trip. A plot outline that Reynolds revealed some time ago.

While it was assumed and stated by the actor himself, that 2017 Logan would be Hugh Jackman’s last time as Wolverine, this is no longer the case, with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds took to social media in September to reveal just that Deadpool3 will focus on a partnership between Wade Wilson and Logan. This made some fans concerned Deadpool3 would spoil the acclaimed ending for the character Logan, but Reynolds and Jackman have since appeared together to clear things up. “Logan is set in 2029. Totally different thing. Logan died in Logan. Not touching that,” Reynolds explained, with the footage ending with Jackman paying tribute to Marvel Studios and with Jackman saying, “I love you, Kevin Feige. Thank you, MCU.”

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool3 is now scheduled for release on November 8, 2024.
