Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is one of the top stars in the country. With all the big budget movies and multiple successes, the actress is also the leading name in big brand endorsement. She also made her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage next to Vin Diesel. Although she is causing a stir not only in India but also internationally with her performances at festivals, fashion weeks etc., the actress says it is still surprising how little people know about India. Deepika recently revealed how a Hollywood star was once impressed with her English.

In an interview with Business Of Fashion, Deepika Padukone revealed: “I know this actor… I met him at this Vanity Fair party and he said, ‘Hey, by the way, you speak English really well. I didn’t even realize what that meant. And when I came back, I said, ‘What do you mean you speak really good English?’ Did he think we don’t speak English?’
She said her encounters in the US would upset her. She said: “Every time I went to the US I would get upset,” she said, adding: “Some things that are said and some things that are just done [make it] so obvious that people don’t know the world outside the world they live in.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be the next star in Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The film is slated for release on January 25, 2023. Apart from that, she also has a cameo in Atlee Kumar’s Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.
Deepika Padukone also plays in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. She has Project K with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and The intern remake with Amitabh Bachchan.
