The popularity of HBO’s prequel continues to rise while demand for Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” spinoff is falling

Thus another week and the demand for ‘The Rings of Power’ in the prequel to ‘Game of Thrones’ will double. If the trajectories of these two shows stay on this path, it looks like HBO will have won the much-anticipated head-to-head without much fighting.
Remaining in the top spot again, “House of the Dragon” extended its lead over rival shows in this week’s ranking of breakout shows. Last week, it looked like the initial hype surrounding the series was waning, but a 13% increase in demand for the show this week put it comfortably ahead of other recent premieres, with 55.4 times the average series demand.
Demand for Disney+’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” also fell, but by only 6%, ensuring that the relative ranking of the top three shows remained unchanged.
FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham”“It ranked fourth this week, increasing its demand by 2%. But the network’s adult animated comedy,”little demonIt lost some steam this week, as demand for it fell 16%.
AMC demand “Tales of the Walking Dead”There was a 10% drop this week, taking the show to seventh place in the rankings. It will be interesting to see if the demand for this spinoff in “The Walking Dead” franchise remains volatile week after week. As a weekly episodic anthology series, viewers may be more excited for a few weeks of episodes depending on the characters and plot. A compilation even with a coherent storyline over several weeks doesn’t build up to demand in the same way that other shows can.
Tokyo Max”licorice recoilIt’s back in the top 10 this week, with 14 times the average chain demand. This is not because the demand for the show has only increased since last week, but because the demand for other series has fallen more rapidly.
Specifically, Netflix’s “Demand”devil in ohioThat’s sharply down 14% over the previous week, the first full week of data since its premiere on September 2.
