Now we hear that yet another contestant is going to say goodbye, but without being eliminated. Kundali Bhagya star Dheeraj Dhoopar who is known for his role as cricketer Karan Luthra was part of this show. But after sustaining an injury recently, reports say the actor has decided to voluntarily leave Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Dheeraj Dhoopar quits Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 due to health issues
According to recent reports, Dheeraj Dhoopar, who impressed judges Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit and Nora Fatehi with his performances, will leave the show. Dheeraj is reported to have injured himself during a performance last week and is currently recovering. Since the actor is also going on an emotional journey where he becomes a father for the first time in real life, he is eager to spend time with his son. Amid hectic dancing and acting schedules, the actor seems to be struggling with the time that convinced him even more to make this decision.
According to a statement to indianexpress.com, the source said: “Dheeraj injured himself last week which affected his performance and became one of the lowest scoring contestants. With the injury yet to heal, it seemed impossible for him to continue. He discussed the same with the creators who amicably agreed to let him go.” On the other hand, in a recent Instagram story shared by the actor, he shared that the Colors channel had sent their best wishes with a cake and a get well card for his speedy recovery.
Readers would be aware that Dheeraj Dhoopar and Shraddha Arya are still one of the most loved on-screen couples on television. The two played the roles of Karan Luthra and Dr. Preetha Luthra in the ongoing series Kundali Bhagya, one of Zee TV’s highest rated TRP programs. However, the actor quit the show earlier this year and was replaced by Shakti Arora.
As of now, Dheeraj Dhoopar returns to the small screen in Colors’ Sherdill Shergill series alongside Surbhi Chandna, in which he will be seen in the role of a stand-up comedian.
