Disney Entertainment shakes up communications and PR roles after latest round of layoffs

Following its most recent round of layoffs, Disney Entertainment has reorganized its communications and promotions departments, TheWrap confirmed on Friday.

Separate from today’s re-organization, a spokesperson confirmed that in February, Shari Rosenblum, an 18-year veteran of the studio and SVP of promotions for Disney Television Studios, signed 20 Television, 20 Animation and ABC. She reports to Candice Ashton.

Additional changes to the company include the following:

Richard Horman will now oversee strategic communications for Disney Entertainment Television. Alyssa Bolduc, who will now manage internal communications, and Robert Nuñez, who will be in charge of visual communications, will both report to her.

Ashley Cline Shapiro leads all promotions for ABC Entertainment, reporting to her are Katherine Taylor of Scripted Publicity and Chelsea Tanamachi of Unscripted PR.

Van Scott will continue to lead ABC News promotions, with Amber Brockman now at Freeform PR and Chris Albert overseeing Nat Geo brand promotions. Kathryn Nelson will now promote her communications role in Disney branded television. Both Albert and Nelson will report to Pam Levin, Head of Marketing, Disney Branded Television and Nat Geo Content.

Fonda Berrosini will lead communications for the network and ratings promotion. Jonelle Kelly will now lead executive communications for the organization, while Kristen Anderson will now focus exclusively on Onyx Collective. Nicole Balgemino-Kim, part of the events’ publicity team, is now handling cultural communications duties.

Most will report to Naomi Bulonnikov-Paul, who in January was named executive vice president of promotions and head of communications for Disney General Entertainment.
