Disney+. Vision Series with Paul Bettany in the Works

“Vision Quest,” a new Marvel Studios series centered on Paul Bettany’s titular android superhero character, is in the works on Disney+, TheWrap has learned. The series, along with “Agatha: House of Harkness”, is the second spinoff show based on the popular “WandaVision”.

The show is set to open a writers’ room next week, and will focus on Vision’s (Bettany) efforts to regain memory and humanity. The character made her final appearance in the eponymous “WandaVision”, which was set after her death in “Avengers: Infinity War” and was featured as a projection of Wanda Maximoff’s (Elizabeth Olsen) grief.

At the end of “WandaVision”, the so-called White Vision was employed as a weapon to destroy Wanda, the Fake Vision, and their creation of the Westview Anomaly. Given the fact that the character has experienced a “rebirth”, the series is likely to arise after the show’s finale, which saw him fly away after Wanda provided him with memories and data from his past life.

Along with “Agatha: House of Harkness” starring Kathryn Hahn, “Vision Quest” will be led by “WandaVision” creator, writer and executive producer Jack Schaefer.

“WandaVision” garnered more than 20 Emmy nominations in 2021, including nods for series lead Bettany and Olsen. The drama-sitcom hybrid series eventually won three Emmys overall.
