When asked about Bollywood movies that failed this year, he said it’s a temporary thing and hoped Bollywood will recover sooner than expected. He said: “After every few years there comes a year where the relationship between success and failure changes. There are more failures than successes. Then it’s up to filmmakers to look inward, think really hard and bounce back. This year was one of those years where we’ve seen more failures than successes. When asked what could be the reason for Bollywood’s failure this year, he said there are multiple reasons. He said many films released this year were made before the lockdown. The audience’s viewing pattern has changed and the old movies could not live up to expectations. He also said that Bollywood stopped making commercial masala entertainers. “I also think Bollywood was trying to make these so-called cool movies and moving away from hardcore commercial cinema. I think that’s one of the reasons why a lot of movies didn’t do well. But we’re learning fast,” he said. .
