After Maharani Season 2, Huma Qureshi is now making headlines for its big screen release Double XL. For the inexperienced, the upcoming film revolves around two curvier women trying to achieve their ambitions and dreams. Speaking of the same, Huma said the conditions of society to believe that a certain weight is beautiful or glamorous.

A Zee News report quoted Huma as saying: “It’s all about confidence and believing that you can look glamorous when you feel glamorous. Patriarchy and society condition us to believe that a girl of a certain weight is not beautiful or glamorous,” the statement said.
The Bollywood actress further added: “It is high time we abolished these notions. I also felt that since I come from an industry where glamor is an essential aspect of the profession, the message coming from me could help other girls who are obsessed with their weight think differently about themselves.”
The upcoming movie seems to be very important to the talented actress as she started talking about it long before the trailer was released. Interestingly, after Sony Liv released the second season of Maharani, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Qureshi spoke candidly about Double XL.
The Gangs of Wasseypur actress had said, “It’s a movie I made with my friends. It is very close to my heart. A topic I think – Iss par bahut pehle film ban jaani chahiye thi. Par nahi banai hum logo ne, pata nahi kyun (This should have been made a movie a long time ago. But we didn’t make it, I don’t know why). But I’m very proud of that film.”
Speaking of the film, along with Huma and Sonakshi, the cast of the ensemble also includes Zaheer Iqbal and Mahat Raghavendra. Top Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan will also have a cameo in the Satram Ramani director, which is out on November 4.
