Drew Barrymore has dropped out as host of the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards in support of the Writers Guild of America’s striking Hollywood writers, instead she will serve as emcee for the awards in 2024.
The MTV Movie & TV Awards will air without a host on Sunday night. It is unclear who else from the announced list of presenters and honorees will still be in attendance.
