‘EEAAO’ Directing Duo Daniels to Collaborate on Disney+ Series ‘Skeleton Crew’

According to media reports, ‘Everything Everywhere All At’ director duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, popularly known as Daniels, are working on the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ series ‘Skeleton Crew’ in Disney+.

The pair will serve in a directing function for the “Star Wars” series, with Jude Law attached to star, and Variety. informed of Daniels will direct just one episode of the series.

The series, which was announced by Lucasfilm at the May 2022 Star Wars Celebration, will be set during the New Republic era and will focus on the perilous journey home for a group of children lost in the galaxy. Although further details are being kept under wraps, it has been reported that the series may be compared to Amblin’s upcoming films from the 1980s, including “ET” and “The Goonies”.

Representatives for Disney+, Lucasfilm and Daniels did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

‘Skeleton Crew’ comes from ‘Spider-Man’ director Jon Watts, who serves as creator and executive producer with Chris Ford, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni also executive producing.

The news comes just weeks after “Everything Everywhere All at Once” at the 95th Academy Awards, in which the Michelle Yeoh-led flick took home seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay (Original or Adapted), Best Lead Actor and Best Actor. Live and Best Lead Actress.
