After collecting Rs. 23.54 crores in its opening weekend, Ek Villain returns has collected in the range of € 2.90 to Rs 3.10 crore on Monday. This puts the four-day total of this John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor starrer near Rs. 26.50 crowns. The film is down nearly 55 percent on Monday compared to opening day.

The film hit multiplexes on Monday, but mass tapes have held up better in terms of numbers. With this Monday Ek Villain returns will look at a week a total of Rs. 35 crores and this should put it in the running to get close to half a century in the long run. The biggest advantage for Ek Villain returns is the open week until the release of Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan on August 11.

The film will also benefit from Moharram on the second Monday, which should escalate collections by a crore or two. ‘s public report Ek Villain returns is not as bad as the reviews initially suggested and now it remains to be seen whether this Mohit Suri movie can stay at a low level from now on and reach the half-century by the end of its running time. On the mass belt, the only competition is Liger on August 25, and until then it will be more or less an open run.

A slightly better grip in the range of Rs. 3.25 crore would have provided a better platform for the film to perform on weekdays.
